<p>Interesting! I haven’t done much casting, but found it difficult not to ruin the wax when it was too thin &#8211; maybe I was just doing that wrong (too&#x1f605;) but fore example the prongs in the stone setting are very rustic (in lack of a better word) and I really like that look &#x1f60a;</p>

<p>Good point about the second hand stones! It would be sad to get them scratched &#8211; at the moment I am also looking at the hardness to avoid creating scratches myself (which I most certainly will). </p>

I would prefer getting them preloved, but I know nothing about stones. </p>
<p>Searching on eBay did not bring up much and the rose-cuts are very limited. How do you find stones and make sure they are in ok quality? </p>

<p>I feel the same. Everything makes sense in the videos and then I actually think my idea is easy, but when I get going there are just so many problems along the way. I am trying to tell myself I am learning but sometimes it feels like I am going nowhere. </p>

<p>Well I don’t have a texture in mind, but I thought it was a little simple without any and was wondering if I should add the texture when I had soldered the jump rings for if it was better doing it before, but that of course will deform the ring and make it harder to close after. Maybe soldering them is better, but then it cannot be&hellip;</p>
